To put your minds at ease

Many of you have asked regarding the next podcast and what's going on. We're all very sorry for the silence but there's been a series of un-good events (not to rip off any popular series or anything) that has caused the ladies Lime and Violet to take a bit of a small hiatus.

Never fear, another podcast should come up at very LEAST before the year ends. I'm kind of joking. See, if another podcast comes up in--say--June, hey, that's before the end of the year, right?

Anyways, no one's dead thanks to Emma's unrelenting vigilance. Otherwise the ninjas would surely have won.

Please join us on the Message Boards or on Ravelry for better updates than this one.

Love,

AdminKit, Lime, and Violet.

L&V #53: Slow Down, Speed Kills Show Notes!

Violet is sick but not contagious. Perhaps the lingering sick is in part due to the asshat of a "web programmer" (air quotes!) who would try the patience of a comatose person. Sympathies from us all, V. Why do you always get the crazies coming to you? Also, nice censoring skills, Gwen!

Carin decided to take her chances and left the Hazmat suit behind. Perhaps she is relying on the power of cheesecake. After all, it was made/bought by nurses so maybe the aura of powerful nursing...powers kept the sick at bay. Along with the pizza vitamins. Or the Goth Boi love heart bubbles (go Carin!).

On the needles
Carin's working on:
- Stockinette sock: Austermann sock in a leafy Peach Melba (color #10)
- Blue Moon Sock of the Month: January Rockin' Sock Kit
- Leaf Lace Shawl
- The oldest WIP in her stash, a Fishman Sweater that may have to hit the Frog Pond.
- Branching Out in 100% mohair.

Violet is working on:
No knitting, all spinning! That's what you get with a Woolee Winder!
- Except for the Anemoi Mittens in Oceanwind Knits Berrijus in fingering and a skein of Louet Gems

Yarn Pron:
- Carin's Vintage Kit came with 27 pages of instructions. Of course, only 1 of those pages is the actual pattern
- Carin's Tulip Baby Cardigan Kit came in and they're sooo stinkin' cute.
- Violet's Yarn Pirate Sock Club package came in. Golly, how is YP doing it when she's ready to pop?
- Yarntini in the next Loopy Ewe Sock Club, yummy!
- Hill Country Yarn Sock Club came in, too! And the pattern is by TylerMacek!
- Creatively Dyed Yarn too!
- Then there's love in the air and its name is Sandy and her Etsy shop: BunkyBoBos

Books Pr0n
- Going Straight - knitting hats on straight needles, yay!
- Latvian Mittens: Traditional Designs & Techniques by Lizbeth Upitis
- Kristin Knits by Kristin Nicholas
- Start Spinning: Everything You Need to Know to Make Great Yarn by Maggie Casey

Thank Yous and Cookies
- Candace sent V a DVD full of Lime&Violet podcasts 1-50. THANK YOU!
- Thank you to all the marvelous test knitters! You're all fabulous!

Music is by Her Space Holiday called A Match Made In Texas.

Episode 54 - Only The Red Ones, Please

Full show notes forthcoming, but suffice it to say that the girls, once again, are able to yap at you for an hour and a half about just about nothing. Yarn is involved, a nice weekend with yarngirls, and Violet's crazy-ass dog decides that only red food is worth eating. And there are books. Really, really good books.

Oh, and a little brush with fame that you geekflag wavers will understand. Oh. MAh. Gawd.

Music was picked by Executive Producer Gwen, so when she lets us know what it is, we'll let you know, too. :)

L&V #53: Slow Down, Speed Kills

V's sick. The cobd in her dose id fairly evidendt, but the Power of DayQuil saves the day.

The girls chatter about the set-up job V tried to pull on Carin when she wasn't looking (and netted her a goth boy in vinyl pants), a whole lot of cheesecake, and growing your own buttfloss.

Oh, and there's knitting, too. And yarn. Seriously.

Full show notes coming soon!

Episode 52 show notes

And we start with a de-snotting but isn't that what a good 66% of the population is doing right now anyways? Eck.

- Carin's working on her patterns for all of you who want to be Test Knitters. :)

And we end on "Lemonade". Liquid sunshine, mm.

Episode 52: What's in YOUR Dumpster?

Just wait 'til you hear what's in Violet's...

Song is by Smallfish, "Lemonade", since it's snowing here AGAIN and we could use some thoughts of citrusy warm goodness. Stupid snow.

We talk about llamas and dog heads and yarn and play matchmaker. And squee a lot about books, because we do that. Violet makes a swatch; Carin casts on verboten socks.

Full show notes coming soon! (As in, when it's not 4:30 a.m. and V hasn't been up for almost a day.)
