Episode 45: Shanked By Scout
This week, Violet interviews Scout, the dyemistress and blogger behind Scout's Swag and ScoutJ.com. V and Scout begin by discussing Starbucks (the fuel behind Getting Stuff Done), Scout's meticulous dyeing system, and V's Ooh Shiny Method of dyeing. Scout shares her technique behind creating repeatable colorways and wishes there were a dyer's program to better keep track of them. V isn't sure how many colorways she has created, only that it's been *a lot.*
V has christened Scout the burrito queen, a reference to Scout's description of rolled-up skeins during the dye process. She talks about her appearance on Knitty Gritty (how-to article here), and how reskeining is the bane of her existence.

Hello Miss Violet, awesome show!
And I loved what you did for Ms. Dayne!
FYI for you and Scout, it is not your skin that determines how you react to insect bites. It is a combination of your natural pH level and wheterh or not you have other allergies and to what severity. It can also be a hereditary trait. My family and I learned this after my mom took me to the pediatrition after a mosquito bite swelled up and would not fade for days shortly after we moved to Orlando.
Also, such harsh reactions can be avoided by making your natural pH more acidic(?) by eating onions and garlic in any form.
Hope it helps!!!
Loved the show! I laughed and laughed -- much to the fear of the people driving next to me on the interstate
