I started this pattern this morning and am stumped on the third repeat. Why are there 2 N4s for round 2 ,Repeat #3? I'm confused, help! Thanks, -Maya

Sorry about that typo. I never caught it and no one has ever mentioned it before now.

Take out the 2nd N4 in round 2 of repeat 3. So, in repeat #3, round 2 should look like this:

(N1): k5, P2, K9
(N2): K9, P2, K5
(N3): K5, P2, K9
(N4): K9, P2, K5

Next question: How many stitches should there be after Repeat #3, round 2? 16? I'm asking because I end up with 2 extra stitches at the end of round 1, Repeat #4. The pattern looks fabulous so far with the l&v lisa souza yarn!

You are correct. You will have 16 stitches on each needle at the point.

The overall pattern for each repeat in the leg goes like this: you will start out with 14 stitches on each needle. In round 1, you increase 2 stitches per needle so you end up with 16 stitches on each needle at the end of round 1. In rounds 2 and 3, you will keep 16 stitches on each needle. In round 4, you will decrease 2 stitches per needle so that you will go back to having 14 stitches on each needle at the end of round 4.

This is the repeated pattern of increases and decreases in stitches throughout the leg repeats.

I apologize for my dense questions. Just one more... Where are rounds 3 and 4 for Repeat number 3? Repeat number 3 has only rounds 1 and 2. Thankyou so much for your patience! -Maya

Maya-I am SO sorry about this! This is definitely not your fault so please don't apologize.

Here is the missing part of Repeat #3:
Round 3: Repeat round 2
Round 4:
(N1) K2, P2, (Sl2,k1,psso), K9
(N2) K9, (Sl2,k1,psso), P2, K2
(N3) K2, P2, (Sl2,k1,psso), K9
(N4) K9, (Sl2,k1,psso), P2, K2

I will check the rest of the pattern to see if there are any other missing pieces, and again, I am really sorry about this!

Are all of the M1's a knit in the front & back or did you use another M1?

At 7:25 AM, Blogger Miss Lime said...

Courtney,
Yep, the M1s are a knit in front and back of same stitch. Sorry I didn't specify. First pattern and all...I just wasn't thinking about it at the time.
Let me know if you have any other questions. You can always email me directly at lime@limenviolet.com too. :)
Happy knitting!
