Episode 90 Show Notes: In Which We Become Pro Whale Exploders

(So sorry for the delay in getting these up!)
Starting out with the giggles. And we go along the usual paths, but there are still surprises!

On the Needles
*Lime frogged a sock and has started Outside In - a sock pattern from the Summer Knitty
*Violet still has some secret-swatches-for-a-project. And some more swatches for the other project-that-must-not-be-named. She finished the Rainy Day Socks (ravelry link since Magknits is no more). And sadly, her 28thirty needs some ripping and reknitting.

News
*Did you notice the "Get Ready for the Holidays" part of the Summer Knitty?
*Possum Education! New Zealand and Australian possums are very different from those Stateside.
*Nurk - the somewhat brave shrew who has to keep his socks dry! by Ursula Vernon

Thank Yous
*Much love to the Wollmeise sock club - pictures posted in this ravelry thread
*Designs by Romi - beautiful shawl pins - simple and elegant! To be used for shawls in the *blank*blank* project!
*DaniDoCrafty - sent a big box of fun stuff full of cheer! Check out her "Rock Your Socks Off" club!

Yarn Pr0n
*CJ Kopec Creations - always popular around these parts!

The BIG News!
*Neil Gaiman!! has granted permission for knits based on his stuff! Patterns release is intended for October 31 with a super special podcast!

Episode 89 Show Notes: In Which we Pick Baby Names

Lime and Violet are discussing and dealing with "Life UFOs". And somehow more crop up during the show!

On the Needles
*Miss Violet went away without knitting! GASP! Let's all learn from her mistake! On her other projects, the 28thirty is getting sleeves and then on to the buttons!
*Lime is consistent and is continuing to knit on Skinny Empire. She's been able to read again, novels not textbooks!

News
*The Chum has a new look - check it out!
*Intention Yarns Roving are up at theloopyewe.com!

Thank Yous (and a bit of yarn pr0n)

Episode 89 - In Which we Pick Baby Names

The girls are here, and they're actually talking knitting... for a little while at least before they go off on tangents.

Lime is trying not to jinx relationships, hence we know there is something going on in the man (or men as it seems) department, but she doesn't say what. Stay tuned, I'm sure we'll find out later. MissV is still working on the 20Thirty sweater, but the heat is making her face melt like 1980's special effects.

Episode 88: Of Goth, Grunge & Plastic Wrap Show Notes

Lime & Violet and a little freak out about time gone by. Priorities and standards are in order of course.

On the Needles
*Lime's Skinny Empire has kind of stalled. She pulled out Interweave Knits Favorite Socks and decided on "Cable Rib Socks" (Spring 2005 IK, and Ravelry link) - in Trekking Sock Yarn.
*Violet is still prototyping for the *blank blank* Project. And she's been dyeing - 500 skein capacity with collapsible solar ovens! She's into the sleeve decreases on 28thirty sweater.

News
*Meatcards.com - bacon makes everything better.
*Miss Lime is on summer vacation!

Yarn Pr0n
*Knitters Addiction - look at all this - banana yarn, possum yarn, silks, and cashmere fibers! Based in Australia.

Episode 88 - Of Goth, Grunge & Plastic Wrap

Sorry again about the logo. I really need to find a program that allows me to edit the tags AND edit the audio. I don't have the mental capacity to remember to open iTunes and edit there THEN upload. *face palm*

The girls are back! Miss them? Apparently they're on a roll in the recording world. We talk about the past, the way past, the knitting, and the kinky sex acts that go under the "whatever floats your boat" category. There is also some randomcrazyhappenstance with our Miss V and Stephen who is HizKNITS of the Y-Knit podcast. Go check it out, I like it.

Music was picked by MissViolet. Do not blame me. It was NOT me. Repeat after me now folks "Gwen did NOT pick episode 88's music". I am hence NOT responsible for the ear worm that will get you weirder looks than usual. Music is "Nipple Doctor" by Kate Janse van Rensburg. Remeber what we said? Yea. Me. NOT responsible.

Episode 87 - Two Fifty Show Notes

OMG, it's my favorite! No shortage of squee here. Or the use of technology & flickr!

On the Needles
*Lime is still working on the Skinny Empire sweater. One row at a time.
*Violet is onto the sleeves of 28thirty, and onto the sleeve of her February Lady Sweater. She finished an Everlasting Bagstopper and Lace Ribbon scarf. Branching Out is almost complete - just a bit more to use up the skein. The Checkerboard Lace Scarf is nearing completion as is the Besotted Scarf and one sock is almost done of the "Manly Manhood Socks" (also known as Globe Trotter Socks). And then there was frogging. And some spinning.

News
*The "Slow Loris" - Video shared on Ravelry - the new cute obsession.
*There's a Big project in the works. Prototype socks are here, here, and here on Ravelry or here on Flickr.

Thank Yous
*HedgieLib - sent WeeOnes Stitch Markers - sea cows and pangolins!
*Linda of DressyNeedles also sent stitch markers - there's a Lime series and a Violet series.
*La of DizzyBlondeStudios sent sock yarn - so nice! Get some for yourself - Brad needs a home!

Episode 87 - Two Fifty

Once again, sorry about the lack of logo on your ipod. I'm fairly busy and I totally forgot. Sorry folks!

After a crazy Power Surge of Doom which ate the last episode, the girls are back! They talk about books, boys, massages, and hookers. What else would you expect from our darlings Lime & Violet? MissV also talks about The *blank blank* Project. It sounds cool.

It is Lime & Violet, in the double digits of April. Nothing less than the truth here. Stories of Miss Lime & Graduate Boy, Miss Violet & North Carolina & travelling.

On the Needles
*Violet started the Checkerboard Lace Scarf using Noro Silk Garden Sock. She's been knitting, but not finishing. Triad by Susan Pandorf was started since she was appropriately in Greensboro. She's also been bit by a sweater bug. And she stocked up on patterns: (from Zephyr Style same gals behind Wicked) Tree Jacket and 28thirty started in Cascade Jewel,
*Lime is working on Skinny Empire from Custom Knits by Wendy Bernard. She's spinning too in between writing her papers.

Thank Yous

Episode 85: The One without Violet (kinda) Show Notes

The world has not ended - Violet, Lime & Carin are all here. It's an opportunity to finally figure out the difference between Lime and Carin's voices!

On The Needles
**Carin finished her February Lady Sweater using Dream in Color Classy, "Blue Lagoon". She's still working on the Lenore's and Leyburns. She's waiting on a yarn order for the next Mystic KAL (this one is Mystic Roses).
**Lime has finished her Chevron Scarf! She went through her sweater stash, rediscovered some Naturespun and has decided on the Skinny Empire pattern from Custom Knits by Wendy Bernard. Procrastination lead her to the Lacy Thong (link is to the free pdf file from Interweave) and Paton's Silk Bamboo yarn.
**Violet is on the last rows of Aeolian. She's got an armadillo head lace pattern in the works. The Faux Fair Isle sweater was started, and finished, and Carin now has a new sweater.

News
**Intention Yarns is on a bit of a delay, as is Happy Housewife. Eventually it will be all caught up and all kinds of even more wonderful.
